HID/Xenon Headlight – Right – E39 M5 525i 530i 540i 2001-2003

This part is listed by BMW as BMW part number 63126912440 (63-12-6-912-440) and is described as Headlight Assembly (Xenon/HID) with clear parking light, Right (Passenger Side) for E39 525i, 530i, 540i, and E39 M5 for model years 2001-2003. 

The facelift E39 5 series, as offered in 2001, 2002, and 2003 (the last three years) had several different headlight options. This one is for the cars with the high intensity discharge (HID, or Xenon) head lamps. It has an amber outer reflector, but the parking light (inboard of the outer reflector) is a clear lens / lamp. 

For those with E39 5 Series before the 2001 model year, you can use this headlight (and it’s matching side) as an upgrade. Some light wiring may be required when converting on a pre-facelift car. For 2001, 2002, and 2003 models this is a direct replacement with no additional changes.
