Front Left Control Arm, OEM – E46 325xi/330xi

This E46 Xi Left Front Control Arm, part number 31126758533 (31 12 6 758 533), is a direct replacement, made by an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for BMW (Lemforder or TRW). If you are looking for the best brand and quality, but don’t want to pay BMW dealer price, this is the brand we suggest. 

This control arm is specific to the 2001-2005 325xi and 330xi models, and can be used on both sedan and wagon models with the “xi” xDrive all wheel drive system (AWD) for the years 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005. 

This is a LEFT front lower control arm, as used on the driver side on LHD (left hand drive) cars. 

The front suspension on the all-wheel-drive model E46 has some of the same failure prone issues as the non-AWD models. The lower control arm has pressed-in joints that become worn with mileage and time, causing poor handling traits and bad tire wear. To save on labor charges (or your own time if you’re doing the work), we highly suggest replacing the entire lower control arm with the outer ball joint assembly. This control arm does not include an inner ball joint which is sold separately and also recommended. 

It’s also worth noting that if you have worn ball joints on one side of your BMW, there is a good chance the other arm is at the end of its service life as well. Therefore, we will typically suggest replacing control arms in pairs.
