E30 front control arms should be replaced every few years and more often if the car sees any track time. The ball joints wear out over time which introduces slop and play in the steering and handling as well as clunking noises. In extreme cases the ball joint can separate from the control arm which makes this as much of a safety issue as performance. An annual inspection should be done on the ball joints for excess play as well as the control arm itself for cracks and bends.
Rubber control arm bushing (FCAB) sold separately. For serious track and race use we also sell control arms with better spherical bearings in place of the ball joints.
This is a Genuine BMW control arm and comes with a two year warranty. Replaces previous BMW part #31121130824.
Note on 1996-1999 E36 M3 fitment: since the 96-99 steel control arm is unique and has more camber than this control arm, we suggest using offset bushings with the aluminum arm.
